The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) signed an agreement with Mahmoudia Motors, the sole and official dealer of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in Jordan , to support its Think First program that aims to integrate injury prevention measures in the daily lives of children within Jordan, especially regarding the vehicular and pedestrian safety, through adopting 5 public schools for the academic year 2015/2016.
This support comes in line with Mahmoudia Motors’ strategy that focuses on collaboration between the private sector and the civil society organizations to support national projects in the health and education sectors to raise health awareness and public safety amongst children and provide them with preventative health services.
Mrs. Enaam Barrishi, Director General of (RHAS), stated: “RHAS has been implementing Think First program since 2008 in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, recognizing that children in Jordan tend to suffer from various injuries, through many types of accidents, whether they were pedestrians, passengers, or bikers.”
Barrishi added “our partnership with Mahmoudia Motors represents a new opportunity to unify the efforts between the private sector and the civil society institutions to reach out for more beneficiaries, especially the students in schools, towards a healthy and safe Jordan.”
AbdiMajid Haider, General Manager of Mahmoudia Motors said: “this collaboration with RHAS comes in line with our adopted corporate social responsibility strategy, and our great interest in elevating the health awareness amongst various community members, particularly children and students in schools, since they are mostly affected by injuries caused by accidents. We strongly believe in providing a healthy and safe school environment for our children, who are the future of Jordan.”
(RHAS) was established in 2005 under the direction of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah to promote health and empower Jordanians to adopt healthy lifestyles and behaviors.
