The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) has participated in the Jordan Olympic Committee’s (JOC) Olympic Day celebrations held under the patronage of the Chairman of JOC,
HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein. The ceremony took place at Al Hussein Youth City in cooperation with Kingdom’s national sporting federations and welcomed hundreds of children to a ‘sports open day.’
This year’s Olympic Day celebrations, dubbed “Discover Sport Village,” began with a symbolic walkthrough starting at Gate Number 3 and ending at the Prince Hamzah Hall. The Day’s activities focused on promoting sports as well as a healthier lifestyle among Jordanians.
Honorably opened by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein the Sports Village has witnessed the attendance of representatives from various sporting federations who took the opportunity to promote sports among adults and youngsters in particular. Moreover, RHAS sought to highlight the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and sticking to a schedule that includes routine exercise in its own special section.
On another note, RHAS has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jordan Olympic Committee to spread awareness on the importance of maintaining good health habits and ways to adopt a more fulfilling lifestyle.
The Royal Health Awareness Society was founded in 2005 by Her Majesty Queen Rania to spread health awareness and strengthen the role of the community. The organization has and continues to launch social projects designed to meet the precise needs of communities while remaining aligned with national health regulations.
It is worth mentioning that RHAS and JOC are about to conclude a new project scheduled to be launched in September 2015, as it specifically targets children between the ages of 6 and 9
years.
