The Royal Health Awareness Society Concludes Participation in this Year’s ‘New Think Festival’ |

Coinciding with its efforts to promote creativity among youth, the Royal Health
Awareness Society has recently concluded its participation in this year’s New
Think Festival, entitled “Fikristan.” The event, which took place on the 22nd
and 23rd of August at the King Hussein Business Park’s Cultural Village, was in
cooperation with MedLabs Consultancy Group.
RHAS have presented different health segments over the two days within the
health section where it tackled different health topics, such as healthy
nutrition, physical activities, and healthy sketches. Additionally, RHAS
underlined the importance of maintaining a healthy and balanced diet and further
highlighted several safety issues. Afterwards, MedLabs specialists conducted
detailed blood examinations for participants, which included checking for
diabetes.
New Think Festival have presented more than 200 speakers, where its activities
was divided into six key segments: social networking, health, culture, arts, the
world of business and all new things. Comprehensive workshops and challenging
mind games were also introduced during the two-day event which sought to touch
upon new topics and improve individuals’ critical thinking skills.
The Director of Communication and Media at the Royal Health Awareness Society,
Mouath Tarshihi, commented on the event saying: “For the third consecutive year
our participation in New Think Festival, comes to coincide with our mission and
vision of promoting a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle among Jordanians.
Our close cooperation with our loyal partners specializing in the public and
private sector as well as several civil society organizations, aims to reinforce
the mental and physical health of citizens.”
The Royal Health Awareness Society was founded in 2005 by Her Majesty Queen
Rania to spread health awareness and strengthen the role of the community. The
organization has and continues to launch social projects designed to meet the
precise needs of communities while remaining aligned with national health
regulations.
Launched in 2009, the New Think Festival is a non-profit initiative that aims to
promote creativity among youth. The festival is one of many events organized
throughout the year that reach out to youth and encourage them to demonstrate
creativity, as well as introduce them to new social trends in order that they
may become active members of society.
