RHAS Recognized by King Hussein Cancer Center as a “Smoke-Free Zone”

16/09/2015

The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) has been certified by the King Hussein Cancer Center as a “smoke-free zone” during an award ceremony to recognize local institutions for upholding a smoke-free policy at their premises. The award ceremony runs parallel to a separate ceremony held to honor the winners of a media competition entitled “We Fight Smoke with our Pens.”

The certificate further seeks to encourage organizations in the public and private sectors to promote a smoke-free environment as well as form a collective front to preserve public health.

It is worth mentioning that the Royal Health Awareness Society was founded in 2005 by Her Majesty Queen Rania to spread health awareness and strengthen the role of the community. The organization continues to launch social projects designed to meet the precise needs of communities while remaining aligned with national health regulations.
