The central committee of the Healthy Schools project is currently holding field visits to the participated schools in the Gold level of the Healthy Schools Project, where they look at the achievements that have been done, in order to be accredited as Healthy schools.

The central committee which is formed of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education representatives will be visiting 26 schools in the gold level, including 2 schools that are funded by the AED. The committee will look at the achievements that have been done through implementing the healthy standards to reach and develop a healthy setting for living, learning, and working, and assessed their performance by looking at the healthy schools records, buildings, and the health room. They will also check on the schools canteens, and meet with the health committees at the schools to discuss the challenges that they are facing.

It worth mentioning that 66 schools from all directorates, including 40 schools participating in the Madrasati initiative, joined the program in 2008/2009, whereby 32 schools were accredited as Healthy Schools; moreover, 65 schools participated in the program in 2009/2010 Academic year, whereby 49 schools were accredited as healthy schools. 68 schools participated in the program in 2010/2011 Academic year, including 20 schools participating in Madrasati initiative, whereby 48 schools were accredited as healthy schools: 6 schools from the gold level (the schools which participated for three years in a row), and 26 schools from the silver level (the schools which participated for two years in a row), and 16 schools from the bronze schools (the schools which participated for the first year). 91 schools are participating in 2011/2012 Academic year.
